Let it move you

Here is a poem by Sophia. I found it by chance on Instagram. It moved me, so I am sharing it with you here.

Let it move you before it makes sense.

for the ones walking home without a map

you’re not falling apart

you’re shedding the costumes that the world taught you to wear

you’re outgrowing the disguise and the armour that kept you safe

you’re not lost

you’re returning to what’s real

you’re being carved wide open so authenticity can live where fear once hid

trust the process

let it move you before it makes sense and especially when it gets weird

nothing real can be named immediately

because the most real things

are the ones that grow roots before they speak
